In the paintings from the last weeks (starting from 151 Arabesk), I am experimenting a new technique that was used a lot in the "better circles".
Because I do have a weakness for old mansions and their beautiful stucco, I started looking for something that could get me nearer.
Ending up with a sort of wall templates, which I have used in my paintings.
After a lot of search and testing I found a sort of mixture that would do the job.
First however, all canvases get several soil layers that create a sort of outdated structure, on which I then further work.
The templated parts need time to dry and afterwards I color them with acrylic paint and pigments.
The overall result gives the impression that a piece of history has been brought in.
It is a technique that fits in all kind of interiors: modern as well as rustic as sober.
One likes it or doesn't like it ... in each case, I fell in love with it ...
